Full Moon in Aries: Outrage, Radiance and Cleaning up our worlds.
Hello friends. I realize that not all of my readers get a chance to read all of my posts. We’ve all got a lot going on. I would however, highly recommend you read this one. Why? This FM rather comes with its own warning label. Before you get too worried though like all astro-cosmic energies, it also has its high side. It’s pretty high too, straight up into the great “I AM,” which is the power mantra for Aries energy. It is also purely radiant at its peak and reflective of cosmic creation. It is the spiritual warrior who is courageous and fights for what is righteous or in “right-use.”
The Full Moon of October is always juxtaposed with the Sun in Libra; so issues of selfishness/the other, rage/harmony and action/inaction are at the fore. I intentionally refrained from using the “vs” here, as the other side of the same coin doesn’t always have to act as an oppositional energy. Though I normally don’t go into the aspects that travel with the Moon on the reports, there are aspects definitely worth mentioning with this one. We have a “T-Square” involving Mars, Uranus and Pluto. None of these planets are especially known for their mellow nature or civility, especially when contacting a martial “fired up” Aries moon. I probably don’t have to tell you the ramifications for the uninitiated here. It may not be very pretty, as it’s rather a potential cosmic powder keg. On the other hand, we have a boatload of some major transformational energy at our use. The potency of these energies will peak 10/15-16, but will hang around well into the next week.
Well, that’s just outrageous!
This idea of “I’m offended,” well I’ve got news for you. I’m offended by a lot of things too. Where do I send my list? Life is offensive. You know what I mean? Just get in touch with your outer adult. And grow up. And move on. I’ve seen many comics I’ve hated. I’ve seen many shows that have offended me. I’ve never written a letter. I just go about my life. – Bill Hicks
My favorite quote on being offended, ever. Indeed life can be offensive, very much so. I’m also not saying to never feel outrage. There are things in life that are definitely worth getting fired up about. It’s about choosing our battles and responses wisely. To also work to improve what we can, from where we can. What’s really offensive especially metaphysically, is now much we’ve been manipulated through the media, especially this year and through this toxic (US) election cycle. We realize that what is not working often has to be dismantled first, and it’s not going to go without a fight. You’re bearing witness to it as we speak. Ashes to ashes, someday it will all fall down. It is inevitable, as higher frequencies and consciousness take a greater hold upon the planet.
Anger is indeed an energy and it can be used both positively or negatively. With this Full Moon I definitely recommend conscious action as opposed to indulging our own inner brat and/or bully. This is not only good for us, but a great gift to offer the collective which very much needs a healthy dose of consciousness right now. Bravo and thank you.
Recognizing the bullies and not being them ourselves
What has he done to wear so many scars? Does he change the course of rivers? Does he pollute the moon and stars? Neighborhood bully, standing on the hill. Running out the clock, time standing still. He’s the neighborhood bully. – Dylan, 1983
I’m sure I don’t have to tell you who the bully upon the world stage is right now. There has been so much judgment and negativity being thrown around it’s become a toxic, out of control atmosphere the likes many of us have never seen, especially in the US. Bullies are hard to love, yet they often need it the most. Many great spiritual teachers such as Thich Nhat Hahn have noted that it is their “own pain spilling over” that is causing the problems. Do we need to practice compassion? Yes. Do we need to entertain it? Certainly not. Judging, condemning or belittling this energy does little to quell it, and may spike it out even further.
We can practice proper boundaries without belittling or bullying others. This is as product of healthy spirituality which values others as being reflections of ourselves. It also is born out of balanced personal power that doesn’t seek to lord itself over anyone or anything, as it knows it is complete in itself and needs no external validation.
This is definitely a time to keep to our own side of the street and definitely not attend every drama or tantrum we are invited to. With these energies in the driver’s seat, it may however, be a challenge to avoid. Empath/HSP alert: This will be a good weekend to keep social media interaction at a minimum and sidestep controversies.
Thinking on the Cosmic Tune, it was Johnny “Rotten” Lydon that jumped out first, followed by his band PIL. Petulant in attitude, but quite wise and accurate as a social commentator – then and now.
It’s a repressive society where you can’t be horrible. I’m not horrible, they made me that way. I’m just honest. – John Lydon
Don’t like the look of this old town. What goes up, must come down. Character is lost and found, on unfamiliar playing ground. What in the world? Get up, get out, get out of my world. – Public Image Limited, 1987
The Bottom Line: We may not have control on what is going on in the world, but we do in our own. If there ever was a potent time to move something out, it would be with this Full Moon. Between now and the end of the year (which isn’t long,) it’s important that we think about not only what we want to bring into the new year, but also an entirely new 9-year cycle. I will be sharing more about that in the Year End Wrap-up coming in December.
High Side: Power, Creativity, Positive Sexual Expression, Radiance, Courage.
Shadow Side: (Dramatic) outrage, Bullying, Negative Sexual Expression, acting out behavior.
Happy Full Moon friends and remember to keep it Cosmic!
Thank you to JD Cogmon/Agent 64 of Astrolosophy and Cosmic Intelligence Agency for the Aries Moon image.
