Cosmic Weather – Full Moon & Lunar Eclipse: The end of the wheel, being human and the pearl of great price

Said one oyster to a neighbouring oyster, “I have a very great pain within me. It is heavy and round and I am in distress.” And the other oyster replied with haughty complacence, “Praise be to the heavens and to the sea, I have no pain within me. I am well and whole, both within and without.” At that moment a crab was passing by and heard the two oysters, and he said to the one who was well and whole, both within and without,”Yes, you are well and whole; but the pain that your neighbour bears is a Pearl of exceeding Beauty.” – Kahlil Gibran, The Wanderer

Hello friends. When I connected with the energy of this Full Moon/Eclipse it certainly wasn’t light or easy, but don’t let that scare you. This moment in our little cosmic world is important. It is another great collective initiation for those who wish to take it. People’s experience with this one will be quite varied based on several factors: their level of consciousness and resistance, where they are at in their own journey and also how they’ve been working with the transformational portal that opened at the 8:8 and though has had its ebbs and flows, has not yet closed.

The “noise” has become so loud in our world lately hasn’t it? It seems opinions have become all important and the value of the soul and spirit have seemingly diminished. This moment is a return to the quiet, to the cave of the soul that houses the “pearl of great price,” the cosmic and eternal SELF. Make no mistake about it: This is a magical, powerful moon alright. Eclipses are moments that temporarily obscure the Sun or Moon. This is why to the ancients they were to be feared. There is a certain ominous, unknown quality to them. This is also what gives them their well documented, inner-directed power too.

Some preliminary guidance for the Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse: Be authentic in your feelings, but don’t wallow. Reach for the inspiration that Pisces (Neptune) is known for. Be a light in the midst of shadows. Both Pisces and Virgo energy have these two important factors within their energies as opposite poles: victimhood and redemption from the world through service (Seva or Karma Yoga.) This cosmic event will expose that which is painful about being human, but also all that is holy and redemptive too. Pisces energy is the “storehouse of knowledge” and the end of the karmic wheel. For some, there will be a strong temptation to escape through whatever is their means of choice. I invite those who are brave enough to be fully present, to stick it out. You won’t want to miss this one. If something is painful physically, emotionally or both, breathe and stay with it. Remember too, to quote Pisces George Harrison, “All things must pass.” This is both beautifully fortuitous and sad at the same time.

The Sabian Symbol for this Full Moon/Eclipse (25 Pisces) is especially appropriate and powerful: The Purging of the Priesthood.

There are several ways to look at this. The “priesthood” can apply ALL initiates, not just those in organized religions. This suggests to me a further cleansing and clearing of all that is no longer serving us on a soul level. This is where the purging aspect of an eclipse can be tricky and painful, as we often are also not given the hindsight in the moment to understand that which is moving out. It is an exercise in TRUST and sometimes at a high level at that. In a positive and helpful application, this further supports any positive forward motion we have made in our personal practice in terms of faith, trust, growth and higher consciousness. The negative habits that may have emerged at the Solar Eclipse (9/1) are ripe for release at this time, and the Universe is in full support of that. The shadow of this energy can be: dogma, religious zealousness and persecution, the burning of books is often used as an example.

Navigational Key: To resist what is up for release at this time is not only counter-intuitive, it may be downright unskillful. In fact, resistance of anything is not recommended and may obscure the more subtle and beautiful aspects of this energy that are well placed to come through.

For those who are passing through bardos of challenge and transformation, do not look at it as entirely self-serving. You are part of Gaia and she is a part of you. What you do for yourself, you also do for the All. The darkness you transform, the Light you bear, it is also for her and the ONE. Blessed are you. – The Keepers, 9.3.16

Empath/HSP Alert: I strongly invite the Empath/Sensitives to unplug from the collective as you can at this time. The collective “wound” will be up due to the unconsciousness that exists in the world. Remember that your greatest gift to the world is your own illumined conscious awareness. You are not failing or being selfish to tend to your own spiritual garden at this time. In fact, it’s one of the wisest and healthiest things you can do.

I have to tell you the cosmic tune for this one has changed many times, but I kept going back to this classic originally written by Van Morrison and beautifully embellished and performed by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. This is a moment of great sensitivity, magic, beauty and possibility. That’s a Pisces Full Moon for you. Enjoy, everyone.

I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be great that if just for one moment in time, everything was alright? I want to give you that to you. I want to give you that moment, where everything is possible and everything is real. – Tom Petty

I wish I could show you when you are lonely or in darkness at the astonishing light of your own being. To show you the place you are right now, God circled on a map for you. To remind you that ever since happiness heard your name, it has been running through the streets trying to find you. – Hafiz
